In 2008, Yonder Luxury Vacation Rentals started off as a gamble. Owners Steve and Donna Frellick had several high-end timber frame spec homes that had gone unsold, and with the financial downturn that year, they were really worried about what to do with these unsold properties.  

They decided to list them as short-term rentals, and immediately were able to get bookings. So much, in fact, that they decided to shift their business model from selling homes to renting them—managing not only the properties they own, but the properties of other owners as well. Today, Yonder is a wildly successful company, with over 170 properties under management in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain region of North Carolina.
